The Ruya Shop presents a solo exhibition of Aladeen Mohammad Kazem’s recent paintings. The Hilla-based artist studied fine art and drawing at the University of Babylon, and his work is in private collections in Iraq and abroad. Kazem’s work brings together stories from Iraq’s contemporary reality, with references to its ancient history. His deep concern with the damage that time and war has inflicted on Iraq’s heritage is visible in his work.
The exhibition runs from 20 March – 20 April 2019 at the Ruya Shop, Mutannabi Street, Baghdad, and is open Fridays and Saturday from 9am – 2pm.
